After completing the online portion, students attend a structured BLS Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing.

Heartsaver CPR AED is geared towards anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

2) Complete the Heartcode ACLS Online Course prior to the course date

3) Attend the Skills Session on this scheduled date and time 

HeartCode® ACLS is an online comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development.

To enter the course, students must complete the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment. Students are then presented with 12 In-hospital patient cases and a team dynamics lesson. Cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%.

 

You are scheduling the date/time of the hands-on skills sessions.  The links for both online courses will be contained in your registration receipt. You must complete the online courses before attending your testing.

HeartCode® ACLS/BLS are self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. To enter the course, students must complete a precourse self-assessment. Students will then be presented with a team dynamics lesson and 10 In-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and 2 megacode cases.

Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the written exam with a score of 84%. Students then are able to attend the hands-on session required for full course completion.

You must bring both online completion certificates to class.

You are scheduling your hands-on skills session. You must complete the online course before attending your testing. 

After completing the online portion, students attend a structured BLS Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing. Where available, students may also complete the hands-on session with a voice-assisted manikin (VAM).

HeartCode BLS is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal BLS Course.

You must bring your online certificate to class.

The eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED blended learning course is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid, CPR, and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session (sold separately) with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor. 

  • Reflects the latest science and education from the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC), the AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course provides students the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of first aid, CPR, and use of an AED.  
  • Course empowering students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community
  • Offers online, onsite, and classroom training* in two course paths (Heartsaver and Heartsaver Total), this course offers flexibility for Training Centers, Instructors, and students to select the appropriate training solution to fit their needs. (*Training options may vary by Training Center.)
  • The shorter Heartsaver core course path offers the flexibility to add optional topics, while Heartsaver Total is designed for those requiring OSHA or other regulatory agency compliant training.  
  • Student must complete all optional modules that they need to print on the certificate prior to completing the course. Once the certificate is generated, it will not update with any additional modules completed.
